In 2017, Merrick, New York native Zach Goldstein founded Pro Diamond Baseball as he began his first professional season with the Long Island Ducks.

Goldstein had an outstanding collegiate career at Southern New Hampshire University, where he was named the 2017 NE10 and D2CCA East Region Player of the Year, D2CCA All-Region First Team, All-New England First Team, and a D2CCA All-America Honorable Mention. He was also selected to the NE10 All-Conference Team in each of his final three seasons, including an NE10 All-Rookie Team selection in 2013.

A two-time NE10 Conference Champion, Goldstein continues to hold SNHU career records for triples, runs scored, and on-base percentage, while ranking second in hits and among the program’s leaders in doubles and RBI.

Following his playing career, Goldstein served as an assistant coach at Adelphi University from 2019–2021. In his first season, he helped lead the Panthers to a 34-9-1 record, an NE10 Southwest Division regular-season championship, and a No. 5 national ranking.

Today, Goldstein combines his professional playing and collegiate coaching experience with his career as an elementary Physical Education teacher. He continues to train baseball and softball players of all ages across Long Island, focusing on hitting, fielding, base running, agility, and overall athletic development.

Through Pro Diamond Baseball, Goldstein and his coaching staff run summer camps, clinics, private and group training sessions, and work with local town teams to provide structured, high-quality practices designed to help players reach their full potential.

Goldstein holds a B.A. in Sport Management and M.S. in Criminal Justice from Southern New Hampshire University, as well as a Master of Arts in Physical Education from Adelphi University.
